KINESIOTAPING:

Kinesio taping is a taping method designed to give support and stability to injured tissue without affecting circulation and range of motion. Kinesio tape is a flexible elastic tape that is applied directly to the skin and is thought have a number of therapeutic benefits.

The basic principle of its use is that the application of kinesiotape increases fluid flow through injured areas by lifting the superficial tissue off the deeper tissues allowing controlled contraction of muscle, decreased pain, and more efficient healing of the damaged area.

ACTIVE ISOLATED STRETCHING (AIS):

Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a stretching technique designed to lengthen the muscles and release some of the tension in the fascial tissues of the body. AIS stretches are repeated multiple times and are held for no longer than two seconds, this is thought to allow target muscles to optimally lengthen without triggering the protective reflexes of the tissue.

SPORTS STRAPPING:

Sports strapping at Sport & Spine is utilised to restrict an injured joint to a set range of motion or support a joint(s) when its supporting tissue is not able to do so itself. The primary purpose of sports strapping is to provide additional support, stability, and compression for the injured area.
